The Clout Score

Where the number comes from

It is calculated only from accounts a creator has connected through the platform's own login. Nothing is typed in, nothing is uploaded, and no screenshots are accepted. If a number appears on CredClout, it came directly from the platform that holds it.

What moves it

• Audience size across connected accounts. Connecting another account can only ever help: a smaller second account never drags the score down.
• Being present on more than one platform, as long as the audience there is real.
• Growth over time, compared against creators of a similar size. It measures momentum, not the size you started at.
• Continuing to post. Going quiet for a long stretch lowers the score until activity resumes.
• How much of the audience actually responds. This part of the model is still being refined.

What doesn't move it

• Paying. There is no way to buy a higher score, and no plan that raises it.
• Anything self-reported. Typed-in follower counts, screenshots and media kits carry no weight.
• Bought followers, which work against a creator: engagement is measured relative to audience size, so an inflated audience lowers the ratio.

Tiers

Every score falls into one of six bands. The band is what brands see first.

How often it updates

The score is recalculated every day, and again immediately whenever a creator connects or disconnects an account.

Why the exact formula isn't published

This page describes every input and the direction it pushes, but not the weights behind them. A score that can be reverse-engineered can be gamed, and a gamed score is worth nothing to the brands who rely on it. The inputs are verified data from the platforms themselves, so the way to raise a Clout Score is to do the work the score measures.
